Pharmaceuticals and life sciences logistics
Temperature-controlled and dangerous-goods freight for the Ahmedabad, Vadodara and Ankleshwar pharmaceutical belt.
Pharmaceutical cargo is not difficult to move. It is difficult to prove that it moved correctly. Almost every claim we have seen in this sector was lost not because the product failed, but because nobody could evidence the conditions it travelled in.
What actually goes wrong
A temperature excursion discovered at destination, with no data logger to say when it happened. A weekend arrival with no clearance capacity booked, so a consignment sits at 40°C on an apron for two days. A dangerous-goods declaration rejected at acceptance because the packing group changed on the current edition of the regulations.
How we plan around it
We book against the actual ambient profile of the routing, not a nominal one — a Gulf transshipment in May is a different problem from the same routing in December. Passive shippers are specified to the duration including realistic dwell, not the flying time. Data loggers travel with the consignment as standard, because that is what settles a claim.
Dangerous-goods paperwork is checked against the carrier’s current acceptance list before the booking is confirmed. Weekend and holiday clearance capacity is arranged in advance where the arrival falls badly.
Documents this sector needs
Commercial invoice and packing list, shipping bill, certificate of analysis, drug licence and export NOC where applicable, dangerous-goods declaration and MSDS for classified products, certificate of origin, and destination-specific registration or import permits.
Lanes we run for this sector
Ahmedabad and Mumbai air to Europe, the US, Latin America and Africa. Ocean reefer and dry from Mundra and Nhava Sheva where the product tolerates it.
